Why Work With Me?
It can be quite a big step to embark on something new, even when you feel excited about it and know that it’s what you need. It took me a while to start practicing mindfulness, so I understand if you feel that way too. To reassure you, here’s what you can expect from working with me:
- I passionately believe that mindfulness is the antidote to modern life and can help anyone and everyone. Working together, I’ll guide you step by step through the various stages. You will always be in control and only do what feels right for you. It’s important to me that you feel comfortable and gain 100% value from our time together.
- You will learn through practice. Let’s be honest, reading about the latest diet plan will not help you to lose weight – I know because I’ve tried it many times! You have to put the work in. It’s the same with mindfulness. Reading books is great for theory but mindfulness is about practice and experiencing. You’ll learn and practice skills that will always be with you, 24/7.
- I’m naturally an overthinking, people pleasing perfectionist, I worry about the opinions of others and think everyone is better than me. I understand what it feels like to get overly anxious and put myself under a lot of unnecessary stress and pressure. Bear with me …. I also practice mindfulness daily because it helps me to see these negative traits more clearly, understand that they don’t define me and helps me to work with them not fight against them. I’m so much more than what my mind would have me believe and mindfulness helps me to see that. Your struggles may be different to mine, your experiences may manifest themselves in different ways, but the effects they have on you will be the same, and the ways you can help yourself are the same.
I can relate, I empathise and I can help.
- You’re in safe hands! I’ve been practicing mindfulness on a daily basis since 2017 and in 2020, during all the difficulties and uncertainty of a global pandemic, I completed over 100 hours of Mindfulness Teacher Training in order to qualify as a certified Mindfulness Teacher. My course was accredited by the Complementary Medical Association.
