Wake up and Feel Alive
An Introduction to Mindfulness
Do you find yourself mulling over past events, what you should have said or done, wishing things had been different?
Do you worry about future events or catastrophise over ‘what ifs’?
Do these worries hold you back or interfere with your life?
Have you ever got so tangled up in your thoughts that you struggle to make decisions or separate thought from reality?
Are you so focused on getting through all your daily tasks that you don’t notice what’s going on around you?
Firstly, you’re not alone. It’s so easy to become preoccupied but ‘living in your head’ is stealing your ability to do simple things, your freedom to choose and the simple pleasures you get from everyday things.
Life could be passing you by.
Wouldn’t it feel so much better to meet each day with an open mind, confident that you can deal with whatever happens?
Wouldn’t it be lovely to experience the fun, enjoyment and happiness of the here and now?
During the Introduction to Mindfulness 4-week course you will learn the basics of mindfulness practice that will help you worry less and live more. You’ll learn about:
- ‘Waking up’ your senses and developing greater awareness of what’s happening around you
- Finding freedom from judgements, unhelpful beliefs and habits
- Creating breathing space, taking time but achieving more
- Letting go of expectations and enjoying new experiences with an open mind.
Each week you’ll work on a different topic and gradually build your awareness and practice. The course is carried out in small groups with a spirit of connection, compassion and kindness. It’s great to learn from other people’s experience as well as your own.
In addition to the course, you will also receive:
- Membership to a private Facebook group giving support and guidance throughout the course
- All course materials and recorded guided meditations that are yours for life.
- A weekly Facebook LIVE where I answer your questions throughout the course.
We’ll meet weekly for 4 weeks. Each session will be 90 minutes from 7.30 pm via Zoom. It is better if you can attend each week, but all sessions will be recorded and can be made available for you to catch up.
There will be exercises for you to practice at home through the week which will take around 30 minutes a day. This is an essential part of the course.
The cost for all this is just £99.
How do I know that this course can help you? I’ve experienced all of those scenarios above and it wasn’t until I started to practice mindfulness that I realised just how much I was missing out on and how pre-conceived ideas and old habits were making everyday things so much harder than they needed to be. I literally woke up! I know many people struggle in the same way. I was so bowled over by the change in me that I knew I wanted to learn more and help other people to wake up too. So, I became a Mindfulness Teacher!
“Thank you so much Jo. I’m taking a few things away from today to work on and it has helped me identify and realise some things I maybe already knew but hadn’t quite acknowledged until today.”
“Relaxed presentation and style of workshop which created a shared experience.”
